I CAN'T QUIT YOU BABY, PART 2

"But I gotta put you down for a while." (Blues song written by Willie Dixon)

In my last post (with the same title), I wrote about not being able to quit sending Christmas cards.  And have I gotten them all written and mailed yet? No, not by a long shot... maybe a third of what I will ultimately send.

This time I mean worrying: about the tragedy in Newtown, what will happen (or not happen) to decrease the amount of violence and loss of innocent lives, what the government will do next, the future of our country.

I suppose some of my FB friends think I'm antagonistic, obsessed with politics, or intent on debating the issues. Honest, I'm not. I'm just worried. About all of these things, and more. Perhaps I think too much. But whenever I see a post that makes some level of sense to me, I share it. I'm simply looking for answers in this confusing world, like most everyone else.

I've spent way too much time this season reading, sharing, posting, when I should be enjoying the holidays. And yeah, getting those Christmas cards finished!

Wishing all of my friends a wonderful Christmas, or whatever holiday you celebrate, and peace and prosperity in the New Year.

Never once thought antagonistic. WE all handle such trauma in different ways. Some need to dive right in and start solving to feel in control. Others, like me, need to take a deep breath, pause, process, etc. before diving in. In the end I want to believe all care, all want the right things to be done. Will just take time, dialogue, tolerance to get there.

Frankly, I keep chuckling expecting your friends to wonder where you found this liberal pain in the ass friend from CT. LOL.

Happy Holidays to you and H.

Truth is, Suz, at least 80% of my friends on FB (and probably IRL) are liberal. No doubt because most are in California, LOL! More likely that my liberal friends are wondering where I got my conservative pain in the ass ones.

Happy holidays to you and the Kishman!
